My newest hobby

Before Abbott was born, Ryan bought me this really great book of crafts to do for babies. I just now got it out and started making some things. I have gotten creative with some of the patterns, and have found that these make great baby gifts and are not too hard to make! I can make some for your next baby gift too, for a small fee! It only takes me a couple of hours to do the more detailed pairs with the prints, but I can do the solid colored ones in about an hour.

I made these for a friend who is having a little boy any day now. Abbott has some that are opposite in color.

I made these for my friend, Sarah. She gave them to a girlfriend of hers that just had a baby girl.

These are Abbott's pair. He also has some blue and gray ones.

These don't belong to any feet yet.

These went to one of Sarah's co-workers.

If you need a clever, handmade and original baby gift, just let me know!

One more tree pic

I forgot to put in a picture of the whole garage!

MomoJo's and Popo's house

On Monday, Abbott and I drove to Knoxville to hang out with Popo and MomoJo. Ryan was supposed to get to go, but he couldn't get some shifts changed so it was just the two of us. We stayed until Wednesday and had a great time relaxing at the house and doing some shopping (well, really just window shopping, we didn't buy anything). You wouldn't be able to tell from these pictures, but Abbott has a pretty nasty cold right now and has a lot of congestion in his tiny little nose. Despite the cold, he is a happy boy! Here are a couple of pics from our Knoxville trip:

Trees

While we were at the symphony on Saturday night, or maybe a little later, it stormed and a tree fell on our garage......ok not a WHOLE tree but pretty big part of it. We didn't find it until the next evening when we got home and actually looked in the back yard. This is what we saw:

These are views from on top of the roof of the garage. Since the tree is still there because we haven't gotten anyone to come out yet, we don't know the extent of the damage to the roof. It is not as bad as the tree that fell on my sister's house because it didn't break any beams or anything on the inside. Yay for trees falling on the places where the Meredith girls live!

The Symphony

Ryan's cousin, Kyle, and his wife, Alison came to Nashville over the weekend and we got to hang out! We were given some free symphony tickets so we all got dressed up and went out to dinner and the symphony while Grammie and Pops (Ryan's mom and dad) hung out with Abbott. Here are some pics from before we left their house:
